Theodore P. Savas is a member of the Pillarton Advisory Team. He is an influential consultant to the book publishing world. Mr. Savas was the founder and president of Savas Publishing Company, one of the world’s finest and respected independent presses of general and military history books and journals. His responsibilities included company management and the design and implementation of a wide variety of successful publishing projects, including the development of the notable “Facts About”TM and “History at a Glance”TM lines. In that capacity Mr. Savas worked closely with the industry’s leading agents, consultants, authors, editors, and publishers. He formed strategic partnerships with leading distributors of books and journals in North America, the United Kingdom, and on the European continent that substantially enhanced the visibility of the company and the sales of its rapidly expanding book line. His efforts resulted in many book club selections and award-winning titles. Savas Publishing Company was sold in 2001 to a prominent Philadelphia-Boston-New York publishing house.

Mr. Savas is the author or editor of more than a dozen books, one hundred published book and product/service reviews, and a score of articles on a variety of topics. He holds numerous copyrights/trademarks. His experience stretches across the publishing spectrum.

He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law (with Distinction) in 1986 and operated a litigation practice in Silicon Valley for twelve years. Savas worked with many leading entrepreneurs and handled a variety of complex matters in both State and Federal court. Currently, Mr. Savas heads up Savas Publishing and Consulting Group, an outsourced network of editors, designers, indexers, and agents, acts as an in-house book agent for a leading New York City publisher, and teaches legal and business-related courses in California.
